Rebellix is a Finnish melodic metal band from Helsinki, formed by Samuel Honkavaara in the end of 2016 from the ashes of other bands. Rebellix has been rocking the underground of Finnish Heavy Metal music since then, playing plenty of shows and participating to band competitions, sometimes winning some of them.

After many formation changes, Rebellix has been stable with Samuel Honkavaara as Lead guitarist and singer, Tomi Lappalainen as rhythm guitarist and Toni Ahola as drummer, joined then by Jussi Junttila on the bass.

Rebellix has released one Demo (Last Call), two singles (This is War, Fightmare) and two EPs (Final Decay, Rotten Rolls). If you ask us what we are playing, well, we’d say it’s a genuine mix of modern and old school heavy metal, integrated with some cheesy elements from glam metal, and catchy choruses inspired to punk rock music.

In 2021, Rebellix released a new EP called “Serpent’s Kiss” and two videos: one for their eponymous track and another for the song “Fuck You”. The EP “Serpent’s Kiss” has received positive reviews around the world. Rebellix announced in their interview with Chaoszine that they started to plan a new full-length album.

2024, Rebellix dropped a new single and video—a heavy metal cover of Bonnie Tyler’s hit “Holding Out for a Hero.” The track features guest appearances by Finnish heavy metal singer Niite Valo of Dreamtale and pianist Sally.

In 2025, Rebellix released a new single and video called “Not Afraid”. The song was mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios.

About the Demo

“Cashtomer” is a gritty song that critiques consumer culture and the pursuit of profit. Through powerful riffs and raw vocals, the track calls out manipulative marketing and the loss of individuality, creating an anthem for those resisting commodification.

“Unholy Possession” by Rebellix is an intense thrash metal track with aggressive riffs, relentless drumming, and raw vocals. Its dark lyrics, delving into themes of inner struggle, defiance, and confronting one’s darker side, and driving tempo capture a rebellious, gritty energy, blending classic thrash with a modern edge.
